Statement of the WPC on the new escalation of Israeli aggression against Palestine<\/p>\n
The World Peace Council condemns in the strongest way the new plans of the government of Israel to invade the already destroyed Palestinian Gaza strip in order to occupy Gaza City and proceed with its murderous genocidal plans. While more than 60.000 Palestinians have died from the Israeli occupation army the last 22 months, the Israeli regime and its armed forces are assasinating daily dozens of helpless civilian Palestinians even when they seek the limited humanitarian aid entering the Gaza strip. The recent targeted bombing and killing of journalists by the Israeli army shows the ugly face of the occupation regime.
\nAdditional to the more than 15.000 children who have lost their lives, thousands are facing life threatening starvation which is being used as weapon of war. This crime against humanity seems to have no end, the false and fake claim of the Israeli government that its actions are of \u201cself-defense\u201d are cynical and baseless. At the same time the regime of occupation is increasing and multiplying its military presence, harrassments and attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank while discussions are taking place to repeat the \u201cGaza experience\u201d also in the West Bank.
\nThis act of ongoing genocide, the brutality and inhuman attitude of the Israeli government and army is being condemned massively by the peoples of the world all this period. The solidarity with the palestinian people is increasing all over the globe.
\nThe genocide has the full support of the USA and many EU governments without the complicity of whom, these crimes would not have been possible.We likewise denounce the imperialist crimes and ongoing threats against the peoples of Lebanon and Syria.
\nThe new plans of escalation of the aggression would accelerate the Ethnic Cleansing of Israel against the Palestinian people who demand and fight the right of Self-determination and for their own sovereign and viable independent State.
\nThe WPC reiterates its full-hearted solidarity to the just cause of the Palestinian people, demanding the end of the genocidal massacres and supports the establishment of the State of palestine within the borders of pre-4th June 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital. It is the hightime now to recognize Palestine as a full member State of the UN as it was foreseen already in 1948.<\/p>\n
End the genocide now! Freedom for Palestine! Down with the imperialist plans in the Middle East!<\/p>\n
