The World Peace Council expresses its deep concern and opposition to the recent\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>developments around the \u201cUS Peace Deal\u201d over Palestine supervised and imposed by the US\u00a0 administration which comes in clear continuation of the \u201cUS plan of the century\u201d. This \u201cnew\u201d plan is converting the Palestinian Gaza Strip into a de facto US protectorate leaving the Israeli\u00a0 occupation over Palestine untouched, especially the more than 50% of the territory of the\u00a0 Gaza Strip. The USA has no moral and no legal authority to broker a \u201cPeace Deal\u201d when it is\u00a0 clear that the genocidal war of Israel against the Palestinian people for more than 2 years,\u00a0 was only possible due to the full endorsement and support by the USA and the complicity of\u00a0 the European Union and other allies around the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The imperialist controlled international media which are cheering about the supposed\u00a0 end of the war, are not mentioning the 69.000 killed Palestinians, 19.0000 of them children,\u00a0 the complete destruction of the Gaza Strip and its infrastructure, housing, hospitals, schools etc. The unprecedented and inhuman suffering of the people of Palestine, the denial to\u00a0 recognize the inalienable right to self-determination and to a viable and independent State to\u00a0 the Palestinian people goes on while the Israeli occupation army is attacking daily cities and\u00a0 villages also in the occupied West Bank whereas the Israeli army has deployed more than\u00a0 1.200 iron gates encircling and locking up entrance and exits to and from Palestinian villages.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This US plan is not aiming at Peace, it is placed within the imperialist plans for the \u201cNew\u00a0 Middle East\u201d, it is leaving Israel and its government, which is accountable for war crimes and\u00a0 crimes against humanity, untouched for its internationally documented Genocide. This US\u00a0 plan does not mention at all the illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East\u00a0 Jerusalem, neither does it speak about the release of Palestinian political prisoners from\u00a0 Israeli jails or the right to return for the Palestinians to their homes according to the UN\u00a0 Resolution 194.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These two years of the Israeli war of ethnic cleansing was carried out under the motto:\u00a0 \u201c<\/span>a people without country and a country without people<\/b>\u201d. The hypocrisy and cynicism of\u00a0 the USA, the EU, the reactionary Gulf regimes about the \u201chumanitarian crisis\u201d was and is\u00a0 paramount. The so-called right of self-defense of Israel is fake and baseless when observing\u00a0 the massacres of tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The WPC expresses its full-hearted solidarity with the Palestinian people which is for\u00a0 more 77 years under Israeli occupation and supports and demands the establishment and\u00a0 recognition of an independent State of Palestine within the borders of pre-4<\/span>th <\/span>June 1967 with\u00a0 East Jerusalem as its capital. It is the high time to affiliate Palestine as a full member State to\u00a0 the United Nations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
